Robert Patton aka Baghdad Bankz or Bagh (pronounced://bag) for short (born June 18,1989) is a songwriter, producer/engineer from Southwest Philadelphia currently living in Richmond Va. 

 

Bagh has worked with many artists in the DMV as well as the Tri-state area. At the age of 12, Bagh decided to follow in the footsteps of his cousins and join the music field. Not really knowing his place, they suggested he start off as a producer. Fruity Loops was ideal for the beginner beat maker.

 

After spending three or more weeks trying to learn the basics of beat making, Bagh known as Young Cannon then, focused on rapping. He later made a name for himself in rap battles at school. At the age of 15 he moved to VA where music became a top priority. Not knowing anyone, he had to learn how to be dependent on himself in order to get things done. He brought a mic, Acid Pro, and some headphones and learned how to record himself. 

 

In 2009, Bagh found himself focusing on beats again. Becoming the Kanye West of VA, Rapping and Producing; the name started to grow rapidly. In 2010 Baghdad won Producer of the year during a beat battle in Syracuse, NY during the Juneteenth Festival. Strongly influenced by the sonds of Swizz Beats, Timberland, Kanye West, and Jahlil Beats
